ସ୍ଥାନ ଓ ସମୟ / Place and time
ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନର ଓଡ଼ିଶା। ଏକ ଛାଇଆ ଅଗଣା ଓ ବାରଣ୍ଡା; ଗାଁ ବା ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଧାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ହୋଇନାହିଁ।
Present-day Odisha. A shaded courtyard and veranda; no village or district has been fixed.

ଭାବର ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ / The performance turn
ସତର୍କ ଇଚ୍ଛା → ଦୁଇଥର ମନ ବଦଳାଇବା → ନିଜେ ଆଗକୁ ଆସିବା। ପକ୍ଷୀ କଥା କହିବନି।
Cautious interest → two changes of mind → choosing to approach. The bird has no spoken dialogue.

ପୋଷାକ ଓ ଚଳନ / Clothing and movement
ନୀଳୁର ଛୋଟ ଲାଲ ସୂତା ସାର୍ଟ, ତା’ ନିଜ ବାମ ପଟେ ନୀଳ ପକେଟ୍ ଓ କ୍ରିମ୍ ରଙ୍ଗର ଛୋଟ ପ୍ୟାଣ୍ଟ। ଚଇତିର ନୀଳ ଢିଲା ଟ୍ୟୁନିକ୍‌ର ବେକରେ ସରୁ ସୁନେଲି ଧାର ଓ ମାଟିଆ ହଳଦିଆ ପ୍ୟାଣ୍ଟ। ବସିବା ଓ ଉଠିବା ସହ ଅଣ୍ଟା ଓ ଆଣ୍ଠୁର କୁଞ୍ଚ ବଦଳିବ।
Nilu wears a short red cotton shirt with a blue pocket on his anatomical left and cream cropped trousers. Chaiti wears a loose blue tunic with a narrow gold neckline and muted ochre trousers. Folds at the waist and knees respond to sitting and rising.

ପ୍ରତି ଦୃଶ୍ୟରେ ମେଳ / Continuity between shots
ଛୋଟ ବାଦାମୀ ପକ୍ଷୀ, ଛୋଟ ଲାଞ୍ଜ, ଝୁଟି ନାହିଁ। ଜାତି ଧାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ। ପତ୍ର ଗୋଟିଏ ହିଁ। ପିଲାମାନେ ଡାକିବେ ବା ଧରିବେନି।
Small brown bird, short tail, no crest; species remains unspecified. One consistent leaf. The children neither lure nor handle it.

ଦୃଶ୍ୟ 1 · 0–12 ସେକେଣ୍ଡ / Scene 1 · 0–12 seconds
ପାହାଚରେ ଛୋଟ ଶୁଖିଲା ପତ୍ର। ପକ୍ଷୀ କାନ୍ଥରୁ ତଳକୁ ଆସି ଦୁଇଥର ଡେଇଁଥାଏ। ପାଖେ ପିଲାମାନେ ବସିଛନ୍ତି।
A little dry leaf lies on the step. The bird drops from the wall and hops twice towards it. The children sit nearby.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: ପକ୍ଷ ଓ ପତ୍ରର ହାଲୁକା ଶବ୍ଦ। / Light wings and a leaf rustle.

ଦୃଶ୍ୟ 2 · 12–24 ସେକେଣ୍ଡ / Scene 2 · 12–24 seconds
ଚଇତି ଦେଖିବାକୁ ଆଗକୁ ଝୁଙ୍କେ। ପକ୍ଷୀ ପୁଣି କାନ୍ଥକୁ ଫେରେ। ମୁଣ୍ଡ ବୁଲାଇ ପତ୍ର ଓ ପିଲାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖେ।
Chaiti leans forward to see. The bird returns to the wall, looking between the leaf and the children.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: ଏକ ଛୋଟ ଚିଁ। / One short chirp.
ଚଇତି: ପୁଣି ଫେରିଗଲା।
Chaiti: It went back again.

ଦୃଶ୍ୟ 3 · 24–38 ସେକେଣ୍ଡ / Scene 3 · 24–38 seconds
ନୀଳୁ ଟିକେ ପଛକୁ ସରେ। ଚଇତି ବି ସରେ। ପକ୍ଷୀ ତଳକୁ ଆସେ, ଅଟକେ, ତା’ପରେ ପତ୍ର ଉଠାଏ।
Nilu moves back a little; Chaiti follows. The bird comes down, pauses, then picks up the leaf.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: କିଛି ସେକେଣ୍ଡ କେବଳ ଅଗଣାର ଶବ୍ଦ। / Several seconds of courtyard sound alone.

ପତ୍ର ଧରି ପକ୍ଷୀ କାନ୍ଥକୁ ଫେରେ। ପତ୍ର ଘୂରି ମୁହଁ ଢାଙ୍କିଦିଏ। ସେ ଠୋଣ୍ଟର ଧରଣ ବଦଳାଇ ଉଡ଼ିଯାଏ। ପିଲାମାନେ ଚୁପ୍‌ଚାପ୍ ହସନ୍ତି।
The bird returns to the wall with the leaf. It swings across its face; the bird adjusts its grip and flies off. The children smile quietly.
