ସ୍ଥାନ ଓ ସମୟ / Place and time
ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନର ଓଡ଼ିଶା। ଏକ ଛାଇଆ ଅଗଣା ଓ ବାରଣ୍ଡା; ଗାଁ ବା ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଧାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ହୋଇନାହିଁ।
Present-day Odisha. A shaded courtyard and veranda; no village or district has been fixed.

ଭାବର ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ / The performance turn
ସତର୍କ ଅବତରଣ → ଡୋଲୁଥିବା ଜିନିଷ ଏଡ଼ାଇବା → ସ୍ଥିର ଡାଳ ବାଛି ଆରାମ।
Cautious landing → avoiding something that sways → choosing a stable branch and settling.

ପୋଷାକ ଓ ଚଳନ / Clothing and movement
ନୀଳୁର ଛୋଟ ଲାଲ ସୂତା ସାର୍ଟ, ତା’ ନିଜ ବାମ ପଟେ ନୀଳ ପକେଟ୍ ଓ କ୍ରିମ୍ ରଙ୍ଗର ଛୋଟ ପ୍ୟାଣ୍ଟ। ଚଇତିର ନୀଳ ଢିଲା ଟ୍ୟୁନିକ୍‌ର ବେକରେ ସରୁ ସୁନେଲି ଧାର ଓ ମାଟିଆ ହଳଦିଆ ପ୍ୟାଣ୍ଟ। ବସିବା ଓ ଉଠିବା ସହ ଅଣ୍ଟା ଓ ଆଣ୍ଠୁର କୁଞ୍ଚ ବଦଳିବ।
Nilu wears a short red cotton shirt with a blue pocket on his anatomical left and cream cropped trousers. Chaiti wears a loose blue tunic with a narrow gold neckline and muted ochre trousers. Folds at the waist and knees respond to sitting and rising.

ପ୍ରତି ଦୃଶ୍ୟରେ ମେଳ / Continuity between shots
କାଗଜ ପକ୍ଷୀ ଡୋରରେ ତଳେ ଝୁଲିଛି, ସତ ପକ୍ଷୀ ତା’କୁ ଛୁଏଁନି। ଶେଷ ଡାଳ ଆରମ୍ଭରୁ ଚିତ୍ରରେ ଥିବ। କୌଣସି ମଣିଷର ହାତରେ ପକ୍ଷୀ ବସିବନି।
A paper bird hangs low on a cord; the real bird does not touch it. Establish the final branch in the opening view. No perching on a person’s hand.

Chaiti hangs her paper bird on the fence. The brown bird lands on a nearby branch.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: କାଗଜର ଫଡ଼ଫଡ଼ ଓ ଛୋଟ ଚିଁ। / Paper flutter and a small chirp.
ଚଇତି: ଦେଖ, ତୋ ପରି କରିଛି।
Chaiti: Look, I made one like you.

ଦୃଶ୍ୟ 2 · 12–24 ସେକେଣ୍ଡ / Scene 2 · 12–24 seconds
ପବନରେ କାଗଜ ପକ୍ଷୀ ଘୂରେ। ସତ ପକ୍ଷୀ ମୁଣ୍ଡ ଢଳାଇ ଦେଖେ, ତା’ପରେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଡାଳକୁ ଡେଇଁଯାଏ।
The paper bird turns in the breeze. The real bird tilts its head, then hops to another branch.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: ଡୋରର ହାଲୁକା ଘଷା ଓ ପକ୍ଷ। / A faint cord rub and wings.

ଦୃଶ୍ୟ 3 · 24–38 ସେକେଣ୍ଡ / Scene 3 · 24–38 seconds
ଚଇତି ନିଜେ ଦୁଇ ପାଦ ସରି ପକ୍ଷୀକୁ ଦେଖେ। ନୀଳୁ ତା’ ଚିତ୍ର ଓ ପକ୍ଷୀର ଭିନ୍ନ ଛୋଟ ଲାଞ୍ଜ ଦେଖେ।
Chaiti takes two steps to see the bird. Nilu looks between her drawing and the real bird’s shorter tail.

ସତ ପକ୍ଷୀ ଡାଳରେ ସ୍ଥିର ହୋଇ ବସେ। ଚଇତି ନୂଆ ଛୋଟ କାଗଜରେ ତାକୁ ଦେଖି ଆଙ୍କେ; ପୁରୁଣା ଚିତ୍ର ପବନରେ ଘୂରୁଥାଏ।
The bird settles on its branch. Chaiti watches and draws on a new small sheet. The first paper bird keeps turning in the breeze.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: ପେନ୍‌ସିଲ୍ ଶବ୍ଦ ଓ ଏକ ମୃଦୁ ଚିଁ। / Pencil marks and a soft chirp.
