ଚଳଚ୍ଚିତ୍ର ପାଠ୍ୟର ପ୍ରଥମ ଖସଡ଼ା। ସମୟ ଏକ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ; କଣ୍ଠ ରେକର୍ଡ ହୋଇନାହିଁ।

ସ୍ଥାନ ଓ ସମୟ / Place and time
ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନର ଓଡ଼ିଶା। ଏକ ଛାଇଆ ଅଗଣା ଓ ବାରଣ୍ଡା; ଗାଁ ବା ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଧାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ହୋଇନାହିଁ।
Present-day Odisha. A shaded courtyard and veranda; no village or district has been fixed.

ଭାବର ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ / The performance turn
ତରତର ସଫଳତା ଘୋଷଣା → ନଇଁଯିବା ଦେଖିବା → ଚେଷ୍ଟା ବଦଳାଇବା ଓ ହସିବା।
Announcing success too soon → seeing the sag → changing the attempt and enjoying it.

ପୋଷାକ ଓ ଚଳନ / Clothing and movement
ନୀଳୁର ଛୋଟ ଲାଲ ସୂତା ସାର୍ଟ, ତା’ ନିଜ ବାମ ପଟେ ନୀଳ ପକେଟ୍ ଓ କ୍ରିମ୍ ରଙ୍ଗର ଛୋଟ ପ୍ୟାଣ୍ଟ। ଚଇତିର ନୀଳ ଢିଲା ଟ୍ୟୁନିକ୍‌ର ବେକରେ ସରୁ ସୁନେଲି ଧାର ଓ ମାଟିଆ ହଳଦିଆ ପ୍ୟାଣ୍ଟ। ବସିବା ଓ ଉଠିବା ସହ ଅଣ୍ଟା ଓ ଆଣ୍ଠୁର କୁଞ୍ଚ ବଦଳିବ।
Nilu wears a short red cotton shirt with a blue pocket on his anatomical left and cream cropped trousers. Chaiti wears a loose blue tunic with a narrow gold neckline and muted ochre trousers. Folds at the waist and knees respond to sitting and rising.

ପ୍ରତି ଦୃଶ୍ୟରେ ମେଳ / Continuity between shots
ଦୁଇଟି ଛୋଟ ସମାନ କାଠ ଖଣ୍ଡ ମାଟିରେ। ପୋଲ କେବଳ ଛୋଟ କାଗଜ ଗୋଲା ପାଇଁ; ପିଲା ବା ପଶୁ ତା’ ଉପରେ ଚଢ଼ିବେନି। ମୋଡ଼ ସବୁ ଦୃଶ୍ୟରେ ମେଳିବ।
Two low, equal wooden blocks sit on the ground. The bridge is only for a tiny paper ball, never a child or animal. Preserve the fold pattern across shots.

ଚଇତି ଦୁଇ କାଠ ଖଣ୍ଡ ଉପରେ ସମତଳ କାଗଜ ରଖେ। ଛୋଟ କାଗଜ ଗୋଲା ମଝିରେ ରଖିଲେ ପୋଲ ନଇଁଯାଏ।
Chaiti lays a flat sheet over two blocks. A tiny paper ball at the centre makes it sag.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: କାଗଜର ମଚ୍‌ମଚ୍। / Paper crinkling.
ଚଇତି: ମୋ ପୋଲ ହୋଇଗଲା… ଆରେ!
Chaiti: My bridge is ready… oh!

ଦୃଶ୍ୟ 2 · 12–26 ସେକେଣ୍ଡ / Scene 2 · 12–26 seconds
ସେ ଗୋଲା ହଟାଏ। କାଗଜକୁ ଏପଟ ସେପଟ ମୋଡ଼ି ଛୋଟ ପଙ୍ଖା ପରି କରେ। ନୀଳୁ ଗୋଟିଏ କାଠ ଖଣ୍ଡ ଧରିଥାଏ।
She removes the ball and makes alternating folds like a small fan. Nilu steadies one block.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: ଧୀରେ ମୋଡ଼ ପକାଇବାର ଶବ୍ଦ। / Slow, distinct paper folds.
ଚଇତି: ଏଥର ଏମିତି କରି ଦେଖେ।

ଦୃଶ୍ୟ 3 · 26–40 ସେକେଣ୍ଡ / Scene 3 · 26–40 seconds
ମୋଡ଼ା କାଗଜ କାଠ ଖଣ୍ଡକୁ ଯୋଡ଼େ। ଚଇତି ଗୋଲାକୁ ଅତି ଧୀରେ ରଖେ। ଏଥର ତାହା ରହିଯାଏ। ସେ ନୀଳୁକୁ ଚାହେଁ।
The folded sheet spans the blocks. Chaiti lowers the ball carefully. It stays this time. She looks at Nilu.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: ଗୋଲା ପଡ଼ିବାର କୋମଳ ଶବ୍ଦ ଓ ନିରବତା। / A soft landing and a quiet pause.
ନୀଳୁ: ରହିଲା!
Nilu: It stayed!

ଦୃଶ୍ୟ 4 · 40–54 ସେକେଣ୍ଡ / Scene 4 · 40–54 seconds
ଚଇତି ଆଙ୍ଗୁଠିରେ ପୋଲକୁ ଟିକେ ଛୁଏଁ। ଗୋଲା ମୋଡ଼ ଭିତରେ ଗଡ଼ି ତଳକୁ ଆସେ। ସେ ହାତ ପାତି ଧରେ।
Chaiti lightly touches the bridge. The ball rolls along a fold and drops into her waiting palm.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: କାଗଜ ଖସ୍‌ଖସ୍ ଓ ହସ। / Paper rustle and laughter.
ଚଇତି: ପୋଲ ହେଲା, ଖେଳ ବି ହେଲା!
