ସ୍ଥାନ ଓ ସମୟ / Place and time
ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନର କୋରାପୁଟ ପାହାଡ଼ ଅଞ୍ଚଳର ଏକ କାଳ୍ପନିକ ଗାଁ। ରେବା ମାଉସୀଙ୍କ ଅଗଣା ଓ ବାରଣ୍ଡା। କୁସୁମ ଓ ମନ୍ଦାର ଦୁଇ ଭଉଣୀଙ୍କ ପିଲା; ରେବା ଦୁହିଁଙ୍କ ମାଉସୀ।
A fictional village in the present-day Koraput hills. Reba Mausi’s courtyard and veranda. Kusum and Mandar are cousins; Reba is aunt to both.

ଭାବର ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ / The performance turn
ନିଜ ଖାଦ୍ୟରେ ଧ୍ୟାନ → ଛୋଟ ବାଧା → ବାଟ ବଦଳାଇ ପୁଣି ନିଜ କାମ।

ପୋଷାକ ଓ ଚଳନ / Clothing and movement
ଚିକୁ ଏକ ମୁକ୍ତଜୀବୀ ଗୁଣ୍ଡୁଚି ମୂଷା। ପିଠିରେ ତିନି ଲମ୍ବା ହାଲୁକା ଦାଗ, କ୍ରିମ୍ ପେଟ, ଛୋଟ ଗୋଲ କାନ ଓ ଘନ ଲାଞ୍ଜ। ପୋଷାକ ବା ଅଳଙ୍କାର ନାହିଁ। ପିଲାଙ୍କ ତୁଳନାରେ ଆକାର ଛୋଟ ରହିବ।
Chiku is a free-living three-striped palm squirrel: three pale longitudinal back stripes, cream underside, small rounded ears and a bushy tail. No clothes or ornaments. Keep its small scale relative to the children.

ପ୍ରତି ଦୃଶ୍ୟରେ ମେଳ / Continuity between shots
ମଞ୍ଜିଟି ଗୋଟିଏ; ପଥର ପାଖରେ କ୍ୟାମେରା ବଦଳିଲେ ବି ତା’ ସ୍ଥାନ ମେଳିବ। ମଣିଷ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଦେଉନାହାନ୍ତି। ଏହା ଏକ କାଳ୍ପନିକ ଛୋଟ ଘଟଣା, ପଶୁ ଆଚରଣର ପାଠ ନୁହେଁ।
One seed, with consistent position when the camera changes. No human feeding. This is an imagined small incident, not a lesson claiming a fixed animal behaviour.

ଅଗଣା ଧାରରେ ଚିକୁ ଦୁଇ ଆଗ ପାଦରେ ଛୋଟ ଶୁଖିଲା ମଞ୍ଜି ଧରିଛି। ପାଖେ ଏକ ଛୋଟ ପଥର।
At the courtyard edge, Chiku holds a small dry seed in its forepaws. A small stone is nearby.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: ହାଲୁକା ପତ୍ର ଓ ମଞ୍ଜି କାମୁଡ଼ିବାର ଶବ୍ଦ। / Leaves and faint nibbling.

ଦୃଶ୍ୟ 2 · 12–24 ସେକେଣ୍ଡ / Scene 2 · 12–24 seconds
ମଞ୍ଜି ଖସି ପଥର ପଛକୁ ଗଡ଼େ। ଚିକୁ ତଳକୁ ଝୁଙ୍କି ଆଗ ପାଦ ବଢ଼ାଏ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମଞ୍ଜି ଆହୁରି ଟିକେ ଦୂରରେ।
The seed slips and rolls behind the stone. Chiku bends down and reaches, but it is just beyond the paw.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: ଛୋଟ ଟିକ୍ ଓ ପାଦର ଖସ୍‌ଖସ୍। / A tiny tick and scratching paws.

ଦୃଶ୍ୟ 3 · 24–36 ସେକେଣ୍ଡ / Scene 3 · 24–36 seconds
ଚିକୁ ଅଟକେ, ନାକ ତଳକୁ କରି ପଥର ପାଖ ଦେଇ ଘୂରେ। ମଞ୍ଜି ଏବେ ଆଗରେ।
Chiku pauses, lowers its nose and goes around the stone. The seed is now in front of it.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: ମାଟିରେ ଛୋଟ ପାଦ। / Small paws on earth.

ଦୃଶ୍ୟ 4 · 36–50 ସେକେଣ୍ଡ / Scene 4 · 36–50 seconds
ଚିକୁ ମଞ୍ଜି ଧରି ପଥର ଉପରେ ବସେ। ପଛ ଚିତ୍ରରେ ପିଲାମାନେ ନିଜ କାମ କରୁଛନ୍ତି। ଚିକୁ ପୁଣି କାମୁଡ଼େ।
Chiku picks up the seed and sits on the stone. The children go about their work in the distant background. Chiku resumes nibbling.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: ପୁଣି କାମୁଡ଼ିବା ଓ ଅଗଣାର ଦୂର ଶବ୍ଦ। / Nibbling resumes over distant courtyard sounds.
