ସ୍ଥାନ ଓ ସମୟ / Place and time
ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନର କୋରାପୁଟ ପାହାଡ଼ ଅଞ୍ଚଳର ଏକ କାଳ୍ପନିକ ଗାଁ। ରେବା ମାଉସୀଙ୍କ ଅଗଣା ଓ ବାରଣ୍ଡା। କୁସୁମ ଓ ମନ୍ଦାର ଦୁଇ ଭଉଣୀଙ୍କ ପିଲା; ରେବା ଦୁହିଁଙ୍କ ମାଉସୀ।
A fictional village in the present-day Koraput hills. Reba Mausi’s courtyard and veranda. Kusum and Mandar are cousins; Reba is aunt to both.

ଭାବର ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ / The performance turn
ପରିଚିତ ବାଟରେ ଗତି → ଅଟକି ଦେଖିବା → ଅନ୍ୟ ଧାରରୁ ନିଜେ ଆଗକୁ ଯିବା।
Moving along a familiar route → stopping to inspect → continuing by another ledge.

ପୋଷାକ ଓ ଚଳନ / Clothing and movement
ଚିକୁ ଏକ ମୁକ୍ତଜୀବୀ ଗୁଣ୍ଡୁଚି ମୂଷା। ପିଠିରେ ତିନି ଲମ୍ବା ହାଲୁକା ଦାଗ, କ୍ରିମ୍ ପେଟ, ଛୋଟ ଗୋଲ କାନ ଓ ଘନ ଲାଞ୍ଜ। ପୋଷାକ ବା ଅଳଙ୍କାର ନାହିଁ। ପିଲାଙ୍କ ତୁଳନାରେ ଆକାର ଛୋଟ ରହିବ।
Chiku is a free-living three-striped palm squirrel: three pale longitudinal back stripes, cream underside, small rounded ears and a bushy tail. No clothes or ornaments. Keep its small scale relative to the children.

ପ୍ରତି ଦୃଶ୍ୟରେ ମେଳ / Continuity between shots
ଝୁଡ଼ି ଖାଲି ଓ ଗୋଟିଏ ସ୍ଥାନରେ। କୌଣସି ଫାନ୍ଦ ନାହିଁ। କାନ୍ଥର ତଳ ଧାର ଆରମ୍ଭରୁ ଦେଖାଯିବ। ମନ୍ଦାର ଚିକୁ ପାଇଁ ଝୁଡ଼ି ରଖିନାହିଁ।
The empty basket stays in one place and is not a trap. Establish the lower ledge in the opening shot. Mandar did not place the basket for the squirrel.

ଦୃଶ୍ୟ 1 · 0–12 ସେକେଣ୍ଡ / Scene 1 · 0–12 seconds
ଅଗଣାର ନିମ୍ନ କାନ୍ଥରେ ଚିକୁ ଦୌଡ଼ିଆସେ। କାନ୍ଥର ଚଉଡ଼ା ଅଂଶରେ ଏକ ଖାଲି ଝୁଡ଼ି ଶୁଖୁଛି। ତଳେ ସରୁ ଧାର।
Chiku runs along a low courtyard wall. An empty basket dries on a wider part, with a narrow ledge below.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: ଛୋଟ ଦ୍ରୁତ ପାଦ। / Quick small paws.

ଦୃଶ୍ୟ 2 · 12–24 ସେକେଣ୍ଡ / Scene 2 · 12–24 seconds
ଚିକୁ ଝୁଡ଼ି ଆଗରେ ଅଟକେ। ମୁଣ୍ଡ ଏପଟ ସେପଟ କରି ଦେଖେ। ପିଲାମାନେ ଦୂରରେ ନିଜ ବ୍ୟାଗ୍ ଧରିଛନ୍ତି।
Chiku stops before the basket and looks from side to side. The children hold their bags at a distance.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: ଏକ ଛୋଟ ବିରାମ; ଦୂର କଥା। / A brief pause and distant speech.

ଦୃଶ୍ୟ 3 · 24–36 ସେକେଣ୍ଡ / Scene 3 · 24–36 seconds
ଚିକୁ ତଳ ଧାରକୁ ଓହ୍ଲାଇ ଝୁଡ଼ିର ପଛ ଦେଇ ଘୂରେ। ତା’ ଲାଞ୍ଜର ଶେଷ ଅଂଶ କିଛିକ୍ଷଣ ଦେଖାଯାଏ।
Chiku drops onto the lower ledge and passes behind the basket. The tail tip remains visible for a moment.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: ପଥର ଉପରେ ପାଦ ଘଷା। / Paws brushing stone.

ଦୃଶ୍ୟ 4 · 36–50 ସେକେଣ୍ଡ / Scene 4 · 36–50 seconds
ଝୁଡ଼ିର ଅନ୍ୟ ପଟରେ ଚିକୁ ଉପରକୁ ଆସି ପୁଣି ଦୌଡ଼େ। କୁସୁମ ଦେଖେ, ତା’ପରେ ନିଜ ବ୍ୟାଗ୍ ଉଠାଏ।
Chiku reappears on the other side and runs on. Kusum watches, then picks up her own bag.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: ଦୌଡ଼ୁଥିବା ପାଦ ଓ ଦୂର ପତ୍ର। / Running paws and distant leaves.
