ସ୍ଥାନ ଓ ସମୟ / Place and time
କୋଣାର୍କ ପାଖରେ ଆଜିର ଏକ କାଳ୍ପନିକ ବସତି। ଦିନୁଙ୍କ ଛୋଟ କାମଘରରେ ହାଲୁକା ନମୁନା ତିଆରି। ବାର ବର୍ଷର ତାରା ତାଙ୍କ ଭାଣିଜୀ; ଦିନୁ ତା’ ମାଆଙ୍କ ସାନଭାଇ, ବୟସ ଅଣଚାଳିଶ। ଦଶ ବର୍ଷର କାନୁ ପଡ଼ୋଶୀ ଓ ସାଙ୍ଗ। ଏହା ଧରମାର ଲୋକକଥା ବା ମନ୍ଦିର ନିର୍ମାଣର ଦୃଶ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ।
A fictional present-day settlement near Konark. Light model-making in Dinu’s small workshop. Twelve-year-old Tara is his niece; thirty-nine-year-old Dinu is her mother’s younger brother. Ten-year-old Kanu is a neighbour and friend. This is separate from the Dharama legend and the temple’s construction.

ଭାବର ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ / The performance turn
ସାହାଯ୍ୟ ପାଇଁ ଆଗୁଆ ହାତ → ପିଲାର କଥା ଶୁଣି ଥମିବା → ଅପେକ୍ଷାର ଅଭ୍ୟାସ → ନିଜ ତରତରକୁ ନେଇ ହସ।
A hand reaching too soon → stopping to hear the child → practising waiting → laughing at his own hurry.

ପୋଷାକ ଓ ଚଳନ / Clothing and movement
ତାରାର ସୋରିଷ ହଳଦିଆ ସାଧା କୁର୍ତ୍ତା, ମୋଡ଼ା ହାତ, ଗାଢ଼ ଧୂସର ସିଧା ପ୍ୟାଣ୍ଟ, ଚପଲ ଓ ଛୋଟ କେଶ। କେବଳ କାମ ଟେବୁଲ୍ ପାଖରେ କ୍ରିମ୍ କପଡ଼ା ଏପ୍ରନ୍, ପଛେ ଗଣ୍ଠି ଓ ଆଗେ ଗୋଟିଏ ପକେଟ୍। ଦିନୁଙ୍କ ମଳିନ ନୀଳ ସୂତା ସାର୍ଟର ହାତ ମୋଡ଼ା, ଢିଲା ଧୂସର ପ୍ୟାଣ୍ଟ, ଚପଲ ଓ ନିଜ ଡାହାଣ ଅଣ୍ଟାରେ କ୍ରିମ୍ ଗାମୁଛା; ନୂଆ ଦୃଶ୍ୟ ଅନୁସାରେ ତା’ ଧାରରେ ସରୁ ଲାଲ ରେଖା। କାନୁର ମାଟିଆ ଲାଲ ଛୋଟ ଚେକ୍ ସାର୍ଟ, ମଳିନ ନୀଳ ପ୍ୟାଣ୍ଟର ମୋଡ଼ା ତଳ ଓ ଚପଲ। ଏଗୁଡ଼ିକ ସମକାଳୀନ କାମର ପୋଷାକ; ଐତିହାସିକ କାରିଗରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରମାଣିତ ସଜ ନୁହେଁ।
Tara wears a plain mustard kurta with rolled sleeves, straight charcoal trousers, sandals and a practical bob. At the worktable only: a cream cloth apron tied at the back, with one front pocket. Dinu wears a faded-blue cotton work shirt with rolled sleeves, loose grey trousers and sandals; a cream gamucha at his anatomical right waist has narrow red end stripes as in the newer scene study. Kanu wears a small rust-check shirt, muted-blue trousers with rolled hems and sandals. These are contemporary work clothes, not authenticated historical artisan dress.

ପ୍ରତି ଦୃଶ୍ୟରେ ମେଳ / Continuity between shots
ଏକ ଛୋଟ ହାଲୁକା କାଗଜ ଟ୍ରେ, ଚାରି ତଳ ଭାଙ୍ଗ ଓ ଆଗରୁ କଟା ଟ୍ୟାବ୍। ତିନି କୋଣ ଆଗରୁ ବନ୍ଧା; ତାରା ଶେଷ କୋଣର ଟ୍ୟାବ୍ ଖୋସେ। କାନୁ ତଳ ଧରେ। କଇଁଚି ବା ଧାରୁଆ ଯନ୍ତ୍ର ନାହିଁ। ଶେଷରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ପେନ୍‌ସିଲ୍ ରଖାଯାଏ।
One small light paper tray with scored folds and tabs cut earlier. Three corners are secured; Tara tucks the final corner tab while Kanu holds the base. No scissors or sharp tools in this scene. One pencil goes into the finished tray.

ତାରା ଟେବୁଲ୍‌ରେ କାଗଜ ଟ୍ରେର ଶେଷ କୋଣ ଧରିଛି। କାନୁ ତଳ ଧରେ। ଦିନୁ କୋଣଟି ଧରିବାକୁ ହାତ ବଢ଼ାନ୍ତି।
Tara holds the last open corner of the paper tray while Kanu steadies its base. Dinu reaches to take the corner.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: କାଗଜର ଖସ୍‌ଖସ୍। / Paper rustling.
ଦିନୁ ମାମୁ: ଏଇଟା ମୁଁ…

ତାରା ନିଜ ହାତ ସେଇଠି ରଖି ମାମୁଙ୍କୁ ଚାହେଁ। ଦିନୁଙ୍କ ହାତ କାଗଜ ଛୁଇଁବା ଆଗରୁ ଅଟକେ।
Tara keeps her hands in place and looks up at her uncle. His hand stops before touching the paper.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: ଛୋଟ ନୀରବତା। / A little silence.
ତାରା: ଟିକେ ରୁହ, ମାମୁ। ଆଉଥରେ କରେ?
Tara: Wait a moment, Mamu. Can I try again?

ଦୃଶ୍ୟ 3 · 24–38 ସେକେଣ୍ଡ / Scene 3 · 24–38 seconds
ଦିନୁ ହାତ ଫେରାଇ ଦୁଇ ହାତ ପଛରେ ରଖନ୍ତି। ତାରା ଆଙ୍ଗୁଠିରେ ଭାଙ୍ଗ ଚାପି ଟ୍ୟାବ୍ ଖୋସେ। କାନୁ ଟ୍ରେ ଘୁଞ୍ଚିବାକୁ ଦିଏନି।
Dinu draws back and rests both hands behind him. Tara presses the fold and tucks the tab. Kanu keeps the tray from sliding.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: କାଗଜ ଭାଙ୍ଗର ସାନ ଶବ୍ଦ। / The soft crease of paper.
ଦିନୁ ମାମୁ: ହଉ, ମୁଁ ଦେଖୁଛି।
Dinu Mamu: All right. I’m watching.

ଦୃଶ୍ୟ 4 · 38–54 ସେକେଣ୍ଡ / Scene 4 · 38–54 seconds
ତାରା ଓ କାନୁ ହାତ ଛାଡ଼ନ୍ତି; ଚାରି କୋଣ ରହେ। କାନୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ପେନ୍‌ସିଲ୍ ଭିତରେ ରଖେ। ଦିନୁ ହାତ ପଛେ ରଖି ହସନ୍ତି।
Tara and Kanu let go; all four corners stay in place. Kanu puts one pencil inside. Dinu keeps his hands behind him and smiles.
