ସ୍ଥାନ ଓ ସମୟ / Place and time
ଯାତ୍ରା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଘର ଅଗଣା ଓ ବାରଣ୍ଡା। ମାଆ ଓ ପୁଅଙ୍କ କଥା। ଧରମା ଓ ବିଶୁ ମହାରଣା କୋଣାର୍କ ସହ ଜଡ଼ିତ ଲୋକକଥାର ଚରିତ୍ର। ଘରର ଫଳ ଓ ବାପା–ପୁଅଙ୍କ ଭେଟର ସୂତ୍ର ପୂର୍ବ ପଢ଼ିବା ପର୍ବରେ ରହିଛି। ଏହି ଛୋଟ ପର୍ବର ଘଟଣା ଓ ସଂଳାପ ନୂଆ କଳ୍ପନା; ପ୍ରମାଣିତ ଜୀବନୀ ବା ପୂରା କିମ୍ବଦନ୍ତୀର ପୁନଃକଥନ ନୁହେଁ। ଏହି ଚିତ୍ରରେ ଧରମା ବାର ବର୍ଷର ପିଲା। ମାଆଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଗତ ନାମ ଗଢ଼ାଯାଇନାହିଁ।
The home courtyard and veranda before the journey. A conversation between mother and son. Dharama and Bisu Maharana belong to the folk legend associated with Konark. The fruit-from-home and father–son reunion motifs appear in the earlier reading episode. This short episode’s events and dialogue are newly imagined, not a verified biography or a retelling of the entire legend. Dharama is portrayed here as twelve. No personal name is invented for his mother.

ଭାବର ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ / The performance turn
ନିଜେ ସବୁ ସଜାଡ଼ିଦେବା → ପୁଅର ଅସୁବିଧା ଦେଖିବା → ନିଜ କାମ ବଦଳାଇବା → ସେ ପାରିବା ଯାଏଁ ଅପେକ୍ଷା।

ପୋଷାକ ଓ ଚଳନ / Clothing and movement
ପୂର୍ବ ଚିତ୍ର ସହ ମେଳ: ଧରମାର ଛୋଟ ଅସଜଡ଼ା କେଶ, ବାମ କାନ୍ଧ ଦେଇ ଛାତିରେ ନୀଳ କପଡ଼ା ଓ ଚାଲିବା ପାଇଁ ଖୋସା କ୍ରିମ୍ ତଳ ବସ୍ତ୍ର। ବିଶୁଙ୍କ କଳା ଢେଉଖେଳା କେଶ, ନିଶ, ବାମ କାନ୍ଧରେ ମାଟିଆ ଲାଲ କପଡ଼ା ଓ ସରୁ ଧାରର କ୍ରିମ୍ କାମ ଧୋତି। ମାଆଙ୍କ ସାଧା ହଳଦିଆ ଶାଢ଼ୀରେ ସରୁ ମାଟିଆ ଲାଲ ଧାର, ସେଇ ରଙ୍ଗର ଛୋଟ ହାତର ବ୍ଲାଉଜ୍, ବାମ କାନ୍ଧରେ କାନି, ତଳ ଖୋସା, ଅଳ୍ପ ଚୁଡ଼ି ଓ ଛୋଟ ବିନ୍ଦି। ସମସ୍ତେ ଖାଲି ପାଦରେ। ବସିବା ଓ ହାତ ବଢ଼ାଇବାବେଳେ କପଡ଼ାର ଖୋସା ଓ କାନ୍ଧର ପଟ ମେଳିବ। ଏହା ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପର ଚିତ୍ରକଳ୍ପ; ତ୍ରୟୋଦଶ ଶତାବ୍ଦୀର ପ୍ରମାଣିତ ପୋଷାକ ବୋଲି ଦାବି ନୁହେଁ।
Continue the earlier drawings: Dharama’s short unruly hair, plain blue upper cloth crossing the chest over his anatomical left shoulder, and cream lower wrap secured for walking. Bisu has dark wavy hair, a moustache, rust cloth over the anatomical left shoulder and a cream working dhoti with a narrow edge. Mother wears a plain ochre-yellow sari with narrow rust borders, a rust short-sleeved blouse, sari end over her anatomical left shoulder, low bun, modest bangles and a small bindi. All are barefoot. Keep waist tucks and shoulder sides consistent as they sit and reach. These are project interpretations, not authenticated thirteenth-century costumes.

ପ୍ରତି ଦୃଶ୍ୟରେ ମେଳ / Continuity between shots
ଏହା ଛୋଟ କୋଳି ପୁଟୁଳିର ସାଧା ବନ୍ଧନ, ଦଉଡ଼ି ବା ଭାର ଧରିବା ଗଣ୍ଠିର ପାଠ ନୁହେଁ। ଫଳ କୋଳ ବା ନିମ୍ନ ପଟା ଉପରେ ରହେ; ଛିଟିକି ପଡ଼େନି। ନୂଆ ପୁଟୁଳି ଆସେନି।
This is the simple closure of a small berry bundle, not a rope or load-bearing knot lesson. Fruit stays supported on a lap or low board and does not spill. No second bundle appears.

ଦୃଶ୍ୟ 1 · 0–12 ସେକେଣ୍ଡ / Scene 1 · 0–12 seconds
ମାଆ ଛୋଟ କପଡ଼ାରେ କୋଳି ବାନ୍ଧି ଗଣ୍ଠି ଟିକେ ଟାଣନ୍ତି। ଧରମା ହାତ ବଢ଼ାଏ।
Mother ties berries in the small cloth and tightens the knot a little. Dharama reaches for it.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: କପଡ଼ାର ନରମ ଟାଣ। / A soft pull of cloth.
ମାଆ: ଖୋଲିଯିବନି।
Mother: It won’t come undone.

ଦୃଶ୍ୟ 2 · 12–26 ସେକେଣ୍ଡ / Scene 2 · 12–26 seconds
ପୁଟୁଳି ପଟାରେ ରଖି ଧରମା ଗଣ୍ଠି ଖୋଲିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରେ। ମାଆ ତା’ ହାତକୁ ଦେଖନ୍ତି।
Resting the bundle on a board, Dharama tries to untie it. Mother watches his hands.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: କପଡ଼ା ଘଷା ପରେ ବିରାମ। / Cloth rustling, then a pause.
ଧରମା: ମୋ ହାତରେ ବି ଖୋଲୁନି।
Dharama: It won’t come undone for me either.

ଦୃଶ୍ୟ 3 · 26–40 ସେକେଣ୍ଡ / Scene 3 · 26–40 seconds
ମାଆ ହସି ନିଜ ଗଣ୍ଠି ଖୋଲନ୍ତି। କପଡ଼ାର ଦୁଇ ମୁଣ୍ଡ ଧରମାକୁ ଦିଅନ୍ତି।
Mother smiles and unties her knot. She gives the cloth ends to Dharama.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: ଛୋଟ ହସ। / A small laugh.
ମାଆ: ବେଶି ଟାଣିଦେଇଛି। ତୁ ଥରେ ବାନ୍ଧ।
Mother: I pulled it too tight. You try tying it.

ଦୃଶ୍ୟ 4 · 40–56 ସେକେଣ୍ଡ / Scene 4 · 40–56 seconds
ଧରମା ବାନ୍ଧି ପୁଣି ଖୋଲେ। ମାଆ ହାତ ବଢ଼ାଇ ନେଇନଯାଇ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରନ୍ତି।
Dharama ties it, then opens it again. Mother waits without taking over.
ଧ୍ୱନି / Sound: କପଡ଼ା ଓ ଶେଷରେ ନରମ ହସ। / Cloth and a soft laugh at the end.
ଧରମା: ଏବେ ପାରୁଛି।
